Installation of Sirius 1.2
Additional libraries
Java, already installed.
Procedure
Here is the procedure for installing de Sirius:
- Sirius is distributed as a Java installer which take care of everything
After downloading it in
/home/bioubuntu
, you only have to run it using admin privileges:
% sudo ./Sirius_linux_1_2.sh
- The installer ask two important questions: where to put the program and its support files and where to put the alias for execution. In an Impilo installation , we use the following values:
- Installation site:
/opt/bio/sources/Sirius
- Alias site:
/usr/local/bin
- Et voilà! To add Sirius to the Impilo application menu, you need to modify the Xfce4 configuration file:
% sudo xfce4-menueditor /etc/xdg/xfce4/desktop/menu.xml
- The three things to add are :
- Item: Launcher
- Name: Sirius
- Command: Sirius
