Here is the procedure for installing de Sirius:

• Sirius is distributed as a Java installer which take care of everything After downloading it in /home/bioubuntu, you only have to run it using admin privileges:

% sudo ./Sirius_linux_1_2.sh

• The installer ask two important questions: where to put the program and its support files and where to put the alias for execution. In an Impilo installation , we use the following values:

• Installation site:

/opt/bio/sources/Sirius

• Alias site:

/usr/local/bin

• Et voilà! To add Sirius to the Impilo application menu, you need to modify the Xfce4 configuration file:

% sudo xfce4-menueditor /etc/xdg/xfce4/desktop/menu.xml

• The three things to add are :
  • Item: Launcher
  • Name: Sirius
  • Command: Sirius
