Installation of TreeviewX 0.5.1

• libwxgtk2.4-dev (libwxgtk2.6-dev ou libwxgtk2.8-dev; voir ci-dessus…)

I have tried my best to compile TreeviewX from source but without much success: I only end up with a bunch of compile errors due to ambiguities in method names that turn the compiler into a moron. If anyone has had success, please let me know. I resigned myself to install from the Ubuntu package To install TreeviewX, I use the following steps:

• Install the package via apt-get:

% sudo apt-get -y install treeviewx

• You need to remove to Science item from the application menu. To do it, edit /usr/share/applications/treeviewx.desktop by adding this line at the very end:

NoDisplay=True

• You need to add TreeviewX to the Impilo application menu by editing the Xfce4 configuration file:

% sudo xfce4-menueditor /etc/xdg/xfce4/desktop/menu.xml

• The three items to add are :
  • Item: Launcher
  • Name: TreeviewX
  • Commande: tv
